Oakley City Councilwoman Pat Anderson pulled papers yesterday for yet another city council run. Anderson has been a councilmember since the beginning of cityhood and was our first mayor in 2005.
So far, Anderson, Kevin Romick and Doug Hardcastle have pulled papers. Michael Dupray pulled, but has informed the City he will not be submitting. If all three submit their papers and no one else pulls, they would win their seats unopposed.
Those who wish to potentially run for council have until August 10 to submit papers. Should one of the three incumbents whose term is expiring not file by 5 p.m. on Aug. 10, the nomination period would be extended through Aug. 15. Frazier is running for state assembly and will not seek re-election.
You can pull papers by visiting the Libby Vreonis, city clerk, at City Hall. Her phone number is (925) 625-7013
