I had the chance to attend the DOW Walk for Water yesterday which was a fabulous event highlighting the importance of water around the world.
It also gave me an insight of how lucky we are in this country to have clean water having done the 3.7 mile walk for water at the The Dow Wetlands Preserve in Antioch.
The event raised awareness of the fact that one billion people in our world do not have access to clean, safe drinking water. In fact, women and children must walk an average of 6 km for their daily water. Come walk 6km in their shoes, learn about our local water issues, conservation tips and experience the Wetlands habitat.
The event features 20 exhibitors, live animals, a boat ride and many activities for kids.
