Supervisor Piepho Featured in Delta Living Magazine

Charleen Earley has a nice article coming out on Supervisor Mary Piepho in her second edition of Delta Living Magazine which hits stands next week. The article discusses the Supervisors love of living on the Delta and wanting to further protect the Delta.  The pictures for the article were taken by Oakley’s Steve Nosanchuk. The spread is on pages 20-21.

In reviewing the online version, I’d say this issue is a huge improvement since the debut issue. This is not a knock on the first issue, but I really enjoyed this issue and content that much better and the magazine is headed in the right direction. Even one of my favorite punching bags (Dave Roberts) did a nice music article on page 18.  Its a good issue that you should pick up and if your a business, should consider advertising in it.

On page 30 there is also a nice ad from Assembly Candidate and Oakley Councilman Jim Frazier.

Although the magazine will be available next week, you can preview it online

  1. Thanx for the highlight Mike. I’m excited about the addition of 8 more pages over the first July issue, giving me the opportunity to add more content for readers. In the world of journalism we always say … the next issue will be THE BEST!

  2. “Supervisors” should read “Supervisor’s” (possessive) and “your a business” should read “you’re a business” (contraction for “you are”). I realize hardly anyone cares about such things anymore.

  3. Jane! HI! I’d love to put you on my copy editor list for Delta Living Magazine – maybe even writer?!! Do you even have the time?!! You did such great work for Los Medanos College’s The Experience back in the day! I miss you! Just had lunch with Cindy last week. Journalism memories, eh?!

  4. Great magazine & article. I’m glad Mary Piepho and others are continuing to protect our fragile delta from all of the special water interests. I enjoyed it cover to cover. Good stuff!

  5. Thank you very much “East County Reader!” Do you have a name? Just curious … that’s the newshound that I am (and teach my high school students!).
