Photos: Antioch Neighborhood Cleanup

It was a fabulous morning of volunteerism in Antioch yesterday as local elected officials, the police chief, and a number of community volunteers showed up for the monthly “We Care Neighborhood Clean up” event in the Fairview Park area.  It was great to see Assemblyman Jim Frazier and Antioch City Councilmembers Monica Wilson and Tony Tiscareno participate.  Antioch Police Chief Allen Cantando also was on hand picking up trash and getting down and dirty with the volunteers.

According to Paul Burgarino of the Contra Costa Times, this was the 42nd neighborhood clean up event held in Antioch since the program started.  The next clean up is scheduled for March 2, 2013.
