ACFA Hosts Free Black History Exhibit

Here is an exhibit to check out during the month of February as the Arts & Cultural Foundation of Antioch (ACFA) is hosting a month long exhibit honoring Black History. The Black History exhibit will feature a timeline in art, literature, and creative arts of the  African American experience in America. The timeline will highlight the homeland of Africa, slavery, the adaptation to the plantation, the Church, the emancipation of the slaves, adaptation to freedom,  the civil rights movement, and end with the historic election of Barack Obama  the first African American President of the United States of America.

The Black History Art Exhibit will be held at the Antioch Historical Society Museum, from February 2-27and is open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 1-4 PM. The museum is located at 1500 West 4th Street in Antioch. Admission is FREE.  

The exhibit is a Community Partnership: Ruah Community Outreach Ministries, Inc., Parents and Providers Partnering for the Education of Young Children (PPPEYC), JTS Art Gallery, the Arts & Cultural Foundation of Antioch and the Antioch Historical Society Museum.
